Tradeweb Executes Onchain U.S. Treasury Transaction on Canton Network

Tradeweb Markets Inc. (NASDAQ: $TW) has completed a real-time onchain U.S. Treasury transaction on the Canton Network (CRYPTO: $CC), giving tokenized Treasuries another institutional test inside traditional market infrastructure.

The transaction was executed on Tradeweb and paired a tokenized U.S. Treasury with tokenized cash through USDCx. Franklin Templeton transferred the tokenized Treasury security to Virtu Financial, while Tradeweb handled execution and price discovery. Canton enabled synchronized settlement between the two assets.

The lineup gave the transaction its institutional weight, bringing together Blockdaemon, Digital Asset, Franklin Templeton, Societe Generale, Tradeweb and Virtu Financial across infrastructure, asset management, banking, market making and electronic fixed-income trading.
