Silver prices today, Tuesday, June 30: Silver prices hovering near December '25

Silver (SI=F) September futures opened at $58.77 per ounce on Tuesday, 0.2% higher than Monday's closing price. The price of silver moved higher this morning to $59.37 per ounce as of 8:19 a.m. ET.

Yet again, silver prices opened below $60 this morning. Except over the last week, silver prices haven't opened near $58 since December 2025.

Silver prices face many of the same near-term headwinds as gold — higher bond yields, a firmer dollar, expectations that rates will remain higher for longer — but tend to be even more volatile due to fluctuating industrial demand and the fact that global central banks don't support silver prices the way they do gold.
